Terms of service
Effective Date: 7th July 2026
Welcome to Breeze Translate! We are dedicated to helping churches foster community cohesion through real-time translation, making your services accessible to diverse congregations. Our aim is to provide a simple, affordable, and effective solution. These Terms and Conditions outline the basis on which you can use our service and the principles of fair use that underpin our subscription plans.
1. Introduction to Breeze Translate
Section titled “1. Introduction to Breeze Translate”Breeze Translate provides a cutting-edge AI-powered platform for real-time transcription and translation of live audio from church services, talks, and presentations. Our service enables congregations to engage with content through captions and audio translated into a wide range of languages on their personal devices.
2. Our Subscription Plans
Section titled “2. Our Subscription Plans”Breeze Translate offers flexible subscription plans designed to meet the varied needs of churches, without requiring weekly administration by your church team and finance team. Each plan is structured to cover typical usage patterns, balancing accessibility with the underlying costs of providing high-quality real-time translation.
Our service costs are influenced by both the total transcription time and the number of languages you translate into (sometimes referred to as “language-hours”). The following plans reflect these factors to offer value and flexibility. Some plans prioritise live captions with translation available on demand; others are designed for regular multilingual ministry.
Translation-Ready Captioning:
- Purpose: Our caption-first plan for churches that want live captions most weeks, with translation ready when a guest needs it — without running full multilingual ministry every Sunday.
- Listener experience: Guests arrive at a caption-first screen; translation into nearly 200 listener languages is one tap away. Guests choose their language; you do not turn languages on or off in the control panel.
- Language capability: Every supported listener language remains available on this plan, consistent with all Breeze plans.
- Typical use: Live captions for typical services, with occasional translation when visitors or guests need it. Caption-first listener mode activates when you subscribe to this plan.
- Free trial: Free trials use the full Breeze experience (including full translation access) until you subscribe; caption-first mode applies once you choose Translation-Ready Captioning.
- Upgrade path: If translation becomes a regular part of your Sunday ministry, we will work with you to move to a plan such as Basic or Abundant Sundays. See Pricing and plans or Translation-Ready Captioning for more information.
Basic Plan:
- Usage Allowance: 90 minutes of real-time translation per week, averaged over 4 weeks’ usage.
- Language Capability: Supports translation into 2 user-selected translation languages, averaged over 4 weeks’ usage, and excluding brief test usage. This plan is intended for churches with limited language requirements.
- Typical Use: Ideal for single, approximately 90-minute services where translation is needed for a small number of languages.
Abundant Sundays Plan:
- Usage Allowance: Abundant real-time translation each Sunday, with usage in line with a typical church, expected below 480 minutes (8 hours) per Sunday, and fewer than 20 simultaneous languages.
- Language Capability: Allows for translation into a selection of languages from our library of nearly 200 supported languages.
- Typical Use: Suitable for churches that primarily require extensive translation on Sundays, accommodating multiple services or sessions within the Sunday timeframe with a broad range of languages.
Abundant All Week Plan:
- Usage Allowance: Plentiful real-time translation each week, with usage in line with a typical church, expected to average no more than 15 hours (900 minutes) per week.
- Language Capability: Allows for translation into a selection of languages from our library of nearly 200 supported languages.
- Typical Use: Designed for churches with significant translation needs throughout the week, including multiple services, mid-week meetings, or other events, across a wide array of languages.
Free Trial (No Subscription):
- New users are offered a flexible free trial period to experience Breeze Translate. This trial is designed to allow your church to assess its typical usage patterns and determine the most suitable subscription plan.
- During the trial, your usage capabilities will align with the Abundant All Week Plan.
- Upon regular use, Breeze will contact you via your account email, and continued use of Breeze Translate requires an active subscription. You may then choose Translation-Ready Captioning or another plan that fits your ministry.
3. Fair Use Policy & Grace
Section titled “3. Fair Use Policy & Grace”Our subscription plans are structured to provide generous allowances for the majority of church usage scenarios. We understand that church activities can be organic and usage may occasionally fluctuate. Our approach is rooted in grace and flexibility, not rigid enforcement, to foster accessibility.
- Principle of Fair Use: The usage allowances for each plan are designed for typical, reasonable use within the spirit of the service for church-related activities. They are not intended for commercial purposes or usage patterns that are significantly outside the scope of a typical church service.
- Grace for Occasional Overuse: We recognise that on occasion, your usage may exceed your plan’s stated limits (e.g., a Basic plan user using to 2 hours or using 3 or 4 languages for part of a service). Overages of this nature are understood in the context of ministry and will not immediately trigger punitive measures, or prevent you from using the service. Churches on Translation-Ready Captioning may occasionally use translation beyond typical caption-only use without immediate punitive action.
- Consistent Use Above Your Plan: Usage consistently or significantly exceeding of your plan’s limits, or usage patterns that frequently fall outside the typical intended use for your subscription tier, may require an upgrade to your subscription, as it would indicate that your current plan may no longer be suitable for your needs. We will contact you using your account email address to discuss the right plan for you.
- Abusive Use: Breeze Translate is architected and priced strictly for live, event-based presentations and non-profit community gatherings. Any usage that is clearly abusive, exploitative, or intended to circumvent the economic or technical spirit of our service tiers is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Utilising the service for high-volume corporate enterprise operations, automated customer support or call centres, or continuous background audio processing.
- Running excessive concurrent translation streams from a single account that deviate significantly from a standard, single-location live event deployment.
- Any deliberate technical attempts to consume disproportionately high system resources that threaten platform stability or concurrency limits for other users. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate accounts exhibiting usage profiles that violate these operational boundaries.
4. Overage & Escalation Policy (for Consistent Overuse)
Section titled “4. Overage & Escalation Policy (for Consistent Overuse)”To ensure the sustainability of our service and fairness to all users, we have a process for addressing consistent overuse:
- Initial Notification: If your church consistently exceeds its plan’s usage allowance, our team will proactively reach out to you. This initial contact is a friendly notification to make you aware of your usage patterns and to offer support in understanding your needs.
- Second Notification & Invitation to Upgrade: If consistent overuse continues after the initial notification, we will issue a second notification. This communication will serve as a more formal warning and will include a clear invitation to consider upgrading to a higher subscription plan that better accommodates your church’s requirements. We will work with you to identify the most suitable plan.
- Account Action for Persistent Overuse: If consistent overuse persists despite the previous notifications and invitations to upgrade, Breeze Translate reserves the right to temporarily suspend or restrict the account’s access until a suitable subscription plan is adopted or usage patterns align with the current plan. Our goal is always to work collaboratively towards a solution.
5. Abusive Use Policy
Section titled “5. Abusive Use Policy”In cases of clear abusive use, as defined in Section 3, Breeze Translate reserves the right to take immediate action, including but not limited to, temporary suspension or permanent termination of the service, without prior warning. This measure is reserved for exceptional circumstances where misuse significantly impacts our service or violates our terms.
6. Special Allowances for Festivals & Events
Section titled “6. Special Allowances for Festivals & Events”We understand the unique needs of churches and ministries. As such, we have explicit fair use for the following occasions:
- Christian Festivals: For major Christian festivals such as Christmas and Easter, we will automatically provide more gracious allowance for potential increases in usage. You do not need to request specific exceptions for these periods.
- Occasional Out-of-Plan Usage: We understand that church life doesn’t fit into nice, neat boxes. And we want to encourage you to use Breeze whenever your ministry would benefit from it; Whether for a church away day. A once-a-month prayer meeting, or a one off occasions like a community vigil.
- Exceptions for Special Events: For other special events (e.g., conferences, extended outreach programs, multi-day gatherings) that may temporarily exceed your usual plan limits, your church may formally request a temporary usage exception. Requests should be made in advance to our support team, providing details of the event and anticipated usage. We will review such requests on a case-by-case basis.
7. Managing Your Subscription
Section titled “7. Managing Your Subscription”Subscription management, including plan selection, upgrades, and payments, is self-managed by your church through your Breeze Translate dashboard. You are responsible for selecting and maintaining the appropriate subscription tier based on your usage needs.
8. Account Security & Team Access
Section titled “8. Account Security & Team Access”Your subscription allows for multiple user logins or team access:
- Access Management: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for managing access to your church account. This includes ensuring that only authorized staff or volunteers have active logins.
- Internal Visibility: You acknowledge that by adding multiple users to your account, those users may be able to view the contact details (such as names and email addresses) of other authorised users on the team for collaboration purposes.
- Revoking Access: It is your sole responsibility to revoke access or change passwords immediately if a staff member or volunteer leaves your organization or no longer requires access. Breeze Translate is not liable for any unauthorised activity or data exposure resulting from failure to update user permissions.
9. Your Responsibilities as a User
Section titled “9. Your Responsibilities as a User”To ensure the best experience with Breeze Translate, we ask that you:
- Provide Quality Audio Input: The accuracy of transcription and translation is heavily dependent on the quality of the audio feed you provide. We advise connecting your sound desk to a computer with internet, or using a phone on a lectern/clip mic output where a sound desk is not available, to ensure the clearest audio.
- Understand AI Limitations: While our AI translation technology is highly advanced and continually improving, automated translation may not always be perfect. It is designed to greatly enhance accessibility and understanding, enabling engagement where there might otherwise be none.
- Adhere to Fair Use: Use the service in a manner consistent with the spirit of your chosen subscription plan and the principles outlined in our Fair Use Policy.
10. Service Infrastructure and Regional Routing
Section titled “10. Service Infrastructure and Regional Routing”- Infrastructure optimisation: To deliver reliable, low-latency live translation and mitigate regional capacity limits during peak windows, we use a globally distributed infrastructure network.
- Authorisation for multi-region processing: By submitting audio to the Service, you acknowledge and agree that audio traffic may be dynamically routed and transiently processed through secure infrastructure nodes in the European Union or the United States.
- Compliance with instructions: All such processing is performed strictly to fulfil your request for real-time translation and in line with our data protection commitments. You remain responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis for processing any personal data submitted through the platform.
11. Disclaimers & Important Information
Section titled “11. Disclaimers & Important Information”- Nature of Service: Breeze Translate is an artificial intelligence-powered service designed to facilitate real-time translation. While our aim is high accuracy, the service is not a substitute for professional human interpretation or highly specialised linguistic expertise, particularly for contexts requiring absolute precision or nuance beyond typical congregational communication. Users should be aware that automated translation has inherent limitations.
- Data Privacy & Use: Breeze Translate processes the audio content you submit and generates translations specifically to provide and enhance our service for your church. While you intend to share the translated content with your congregation, we assure you that the raw audio data and generated translation outputs are treated as confidential by Breeze Translate. We will not disclose this content to external third parties or use it for any purpose beyond the direct operation and improvement of our service. For processing locations, international transfers, and safeguards, see Privacy policy §4.
- Service Modifications: Breeze Translate reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions, our service offerings, or pricing at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes in advance.
By using Breeze Translate, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. We are committed to partnering with your church to make in-person translation a breeze.
