Your first service
Rehearse before Sunday
Section titled “Rehearse before Sunday”Run a short test with the same microphone and room setup you will use in the service. Confirm:
- The control panel shows a moving sound meter when the speaker talks.
- At least one listener device receives captions in a language you expect — and try a second language if you can, to see how easy it is for visitors to pick their own.
- If you use audio output, test on both iOS and Android devices (see Audio output).
- Ask the speaker to try a short section using the habits in Speaking clearly for translation — expand acronyms, explain insider terms, pause between thoughts.
Breeze ships with sensible defaults. You do not need to configure transcription modes or input language before your first run unless you want to — see Transcription modes when you are ready.
Welcome whoever arrives
Section titled “Welcome whoever arrives”Every listener chooses their own language on their phone — any language on our list, on any plan. You do not turn languages on or off in advance. That is intentional for church life: visitors appear without warning, and ministry comes first.

Display options
Section titled “Display options”You can show translation on personal devices, a projector, or both:
- Personal devices — share the listener URL or QR code; each person picks their language.
- Big screen — use display mode for a single language on a projector (see Display modes).
For sensitive content (testimonies, pastoral prayer), consider pausing the stream or using a screen-only display so personal devices are not showing context you would prefer to keep private.
During the service
Section titled “During the service”- Keep the control panel device plugged in and on a stable network.
- Avoid switching browsers mid-service; stay in Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox.
- If translation stops, check Internet and connectivity and the Troubleshooting guides before restarting.
- If captions look confused but audio is clear, the issue is often jargon or acronyms — see Speaking clearly for translation.
After the service
Section titled “After the service”Breeze does not keep historical transcripts. Copy anything you need during or immediately after the session.
