Attender experience
For your congregation, Breeze is deliberately simple: one tap to open the link or scan the QR code, one tap to choose a language. You do not turn languages on or off in advance; every attender picks from our full list on any plan.
How members get started
Section titled “How members get started”- They scan the QR code on a poster, slide, or screen — or open the link you share.
- They select their language from the list. Breeze will detect the spoken language from the service; listeners only choose what they want to read or hear.
- Translation appears as captions on their phone. Optional spoken translation (text-to-speech) is available for over 70 languages if they enable it — see Audio output for the best voices on iOS and Android.
No app install is required for the listener experience in the browser.
Earbuds and personal listening
Section titled “Earbuds and personal listening”Many attenders prefer earbuds or headphones so they can follow the sermon without disturbing neighbours. This works well in pew seating; ushers can mention it quietly when handing out printed welcome cards.
For spoken translation, encourage listeners to turn volume to a comfortable level before the service starts. A short test during the welcome segment helps everyone confirm audio is working.
Accessibility for older members
Section titled “Accessibility for older members”Not everyone is confident with smartphones. A few practical habits help:
- Large text — Breeze can increase the font size in the menu; and also captions in the listener view respect the system settings on accessibility.
- Ushers and welcome team — one volunteer who knows the two-tap flow can sit with someone the first time, without drawing attention to language needs.
- Big-screen option — if personal devices feel daunting, you can display one language on a projector for those who share it (Sanctuary displays).
