Effective Date: 12th May 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Breeze Translate ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our real-time translation service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
We collect minimal information, primarily to operate and improve our service:
For Churches Running Streams: We collect the email address, church name, and other contact details necessary to create and manage your Breeze Translate account.
For End-Users (Listeners): We do not store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from individuals using the translation streams. Your use of the service is anonymous.
Feedback and Support Data: When you choose to reach out to us—via bug reports, chat features, or feedback tools—we may collect and store certain diagnostic information. This includes:
Transcriptions: Relevant snippets of transcribed text related to your report.
Device Information: Technical details such as your operating system, browser type, and device model.
Unique Identifiers: A generated ID that identifies your device or session but does not identify you personally.
Audio and Transcripts: The audio input for translation is ephemeral and is note routinely stored by us. For the purpose of improving our service and translation accuracy, some brief, anonymised snippets of transcribed text may be stored in temporary logs. No full transcripts of sermons or talks are stored permanently.
We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain the Breeze Translate service, enabling real-time translation.
To manage your account (for churches) and communicate with you about the service.
To improve and optimise the accuracy and performance of our translation service through analysis of anonymised data snippets.
Your privacy is important to us. We will not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information (for churches) or any usage data (for end-users) to third parties for their marketing or unrelated purposes.
We may share information only when it is strictly necessary to operate and maintain the Breeze Translate service. This includes sharing with:
Essential Service Providers: Third-party companies that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting providers, and the underlying translation/transcription engine providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
Internal Team Visibility: If your account is set up with multiple user logins (e.g., for a ministry team), please be aware that authorised users attached to your church account may have visibility of the names and contact details of other team members within the account settings. This is to facilitate collaboration and account management.
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect the information we collect from unauthorised access, use, alteration, or destruction.
For churches, if you have questions about the personal information we hold about your account, or wish to update it, please contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on our website.
