The golden rule: the closer you are to a dry speech signal (voice only, minimal music and room echo), the better translation quality will be.
Simple setups
Section titled “Simple setups”- Place a phone or tablet on the lectern with the built-in microphone.
- Use a lapel mic into a mobile device running the control panel in the browser.
Sound desk feed
Section titled “Sound desk feed”Many churches route an AUX send from the mixer to the computer running the control panel. Tips:
- Use a mix that reduces music and choir where possible — speech-only is ideal.
- Confirm the browser has permission to use the selected audio input.
- Watch the sound meter in the control panel; it should move when the preacher speaks.
Dante (DVS)
Section titled “Dante (DVS)”If you use Dante Virtual Soundcard, route audio to channels 1 and 2 (left/right) for browser compatibility.
Streaming computer
Section titled “Streaming computer”Running Breeze on the same machine that live-streams to YouTube is common. Ensure the machine has enough CPU and a stable upload connection for both tasks.
