Audio input

The golden rule: the closer you are to a dry speech signal (voice only, minimal music and room echo), the better translation quality will be.

  • Place a phone or tablet on the lectern with the built-in microphone.
  • Use a lapel mic into a mobile device running the control panel in the browser.

Many churches route an AUX send from the mixer to the computer running the control panel. Tips:

  • Use a mix that reduces music and choir where possible — speech-only is ideal.
  • Confirm the browser has permission to use the selected audio input.
  • Watch the sound meter in the control panel; it should move when the preacher speaks.

If you use Dante Virtual Soundcard, route audio to channels 1 and 2 (left/right) for browser compatibility.

Running Breeze on the same machine that live-streams to YouTube is common. Ensure the machine has enough CPU and a stable upload connection for both tasks.
